Hi all and welcome to our new members,

Here is an update for your information

Our first meeting for 2005 will be at
12 noon next Wednesday March 09 in R113
Everyone is welcome, please come along and tell or bring anyone you know who may be interested.  This will be a chance to find out about the group, have a say about what we do this year, and get involved in human rights activism, (as much or little as you like).

Our future meetings will be same place and time on:

Wednesday March 23*

Wednesday April 27

Wednesday May 11

Wednesday May 25

Wednesday June 08

*except March 23: venue TBA

Our first campaign action will be this

Saturday March 05 at the International Womens Day event, at the Village Green (next to the art gallery in Ruthven Street)

This is an excellent chance to raise awareness of the 'Stop Violence Against Women' campaign, which will launch a new phase, to coincide with International Women's Day.

If you have any time to spare, we need a team of volunteers to staff the stall, please consider helping out for an hour or so.  Get in touch to lat us know when you are available.

Lastly, some sad news: Peter Benenson, the founder of amnesty international, died last week.

Lots more news and events coming up, see you soon,
