This workshop asks the question: “must we accept that a violent world is
inevitable and a peaceful one impossible?” and explores ways to break cycles of
violence.
When confronted by violence, our instinctive reaction is normally
fight or flight. But is there a ‘third way’? You’ve heard of ‘escalating
violence’. Can there be ‘escalating peace’?
Are there ways to break cycles of
violence without breaking people’s necks - other’s and our own?
